It got me curious to see this movie but I was disappointed at how slow the movie phase goes and there was no other focus which was only the street as I got bored watching nothing when all the people disappeared as one person find another person who most of them has amnesia and can remember most of the memories they have for a minute or so.

The trick in the movie was it will get you puzzled and suspense for what is next since I thought this movie is another dooms day or zombie thing because the streets are empty, nobody was there and a lot of questions that arrives to mind.

You will be able to understand fully what has happened by not just following the dots of the story but by enduring to watch it till the end since the seven characters were all victims of the blast and they are all present on that restaurant where the bomb exploded.

I don’t like how the angel of death appears and gets each and every victim. I have no idea why the director Imran Navqi depicted a blind folded guy with bleeding eyes as what he so called as the angel of death, it was really ridiculous and out of this world idea which I really not appreciate.

The story was not that clear from start to middle. The only way you can watch this movie is to wait till the explanation is done at the last minute of the movie which really bored me.

I don’t know anyone famous in particular on the movie. Most of the actors and actresses were unknown to me. Anyway, they did their part but not that as great as Oscars would appreciate. It’s another movie that screams “Wake me up when you’re done”. I really did not find it interesting and special. The only thing I would love here I guess is when the characters were able to do free grocery and drinks and that’s it. I would rate this movie 4 out of 10.

Directed by Robert Redford, this reflective story entails the lives of very different men trying to understand one another. One of the most thought-stimulating movies in history, “A River Runs Through It,” enables the viewer to see life through new perspectives. Closely resembling the popular 1970s’ televisions series, “The Waltons,” Tom Skerritt and his actor counterparts give Hollywood one of their most dramatic film performances ever. Near the movie’s ending, the narrator, (Craig Sheffer), says one of the most beautiful and endearing quotes of history: “…But when I am alone in the half light of the canyon all existence seems to fade to a being with my soul, and memories. And the sounds of the Big Black Foot River, and a four count rhythm, and the hope that a fish will rise. Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. February 2nd, 2010 Nashville hosted a free concert and movie taping at the Municipal Auditorium. The movie being taped was “Love Don’t Let Me Down” starring Gwyneth Paltrow and Tim McGraw, among other popular names.

Anyone eighteen or older was welcome to come to the free concert that started at 4pm and lasted till just after midnight. Attendees received a free chartered bus ride from the Titans stadium parking to the Auditorium where they were brought into the main arena where Gwyneth Paltrow was already on stage performing a song for the movie. Throughout the night Paltrow performed various songs for the movie and between scenes The Lost Trailers took the stage and performed acoustic songs for the approximately 2,000 people from many nearby states who showed up to be a part of the movie making. Along with some of their well loved songs they performed a few new songs that they said had not yet been heard and will be shared during their upcoming tour with Tim McGraw.

Along with Paltrow and “The Lost Trailers”, attendees were entertained by Storme Warren, a man who is well know by GAC (Great American Country television channel) fans. Warren has been referred to as “The Dick Clark of Nashville” and on Tuesday night he displayed his wonderful hosting talents by keeping the crowd entertained between some shots, interacting with the crowd and giving away prizes in a drawing. Many prizes were given out including two autographed guitars, one autographed by Kenny Chesney and the other by Tim McGraw, various electronics, and even two plane tickets.

Tim McGraw did make a brief appearance to greet everyone and thank them for their being there. Though his appearance was brief it was a big highlight for many country fans in attendance. Tim McGraw also allowed the movie company to use his concert stage for the movie scenes, so some McGraw fans may find themselves recognizing a bit of the stage scenes. Earlier in the day Tim also met with a couple fans from the St. Louis area who won a contest from their local radio station and received plane tickets to Nashville, two nights motel stay and the ability to meet Tim and get an autograph from him.

While some in the audience said they didn’t really know much of what Gwyneth Paltrow has done previously it was clear that Paltrow was not lacking for fans in the crowd. Between takes there were shouts of “We love you Gwyneth!” Gwyneth’s kind responses certainly give one reason to like her. While some celebrities seem to be bothered by fans Gwyneth showed that she is not one of those stars. She smiled broadly with each cheer and responded to “we love you” calls with “I love you too!” Early on in the evening Gwyneth also welcomed everyone and expressed her appreciation for everyone who attended.

“Love Don’t Let Me Down” will continue taping in the Nashville, Tennessee area likely through March. Why do we celebrate Christmas? Ask around, and you’ll get a variety of responses: It’s all about the children, about tradition, about the decorations, about the family, or about the food.  Many people celebrate Christmas because of the gifts: giving them and getting them.

Then there are those who will mention that Christmas is about the birth of a baby named Jesus. They will even read the Christmas story from the Bible and go to a Christmas Eve service every year.

Is it possible, though, that Christmas isn’t about any of those? They may play a part in our celebration of Christmas, but they are not really what Christmas is meant to celebrate.

Christmas celebrates the birth of Jesus, THE SAVIOR.

Those two words make all the difference. Without those two words, then the birth of Jesus is just a nice story about something that happened a long time ago. The fact that a baby named Jesus was born is certainly no reason to go on celebrating for 2000 years. However, the fact that this Jesus who was born is also THE SAVIOR is plenty of reason to celebrate.

“On the night Jesus was born, there were shepherds taking care of their sheep in the fields on the outskirts of Bethlehem. There they were, minding their own business, when suddenly an angel appeared right there among them. This angel had a bright shining light radiating around him, and the shepherds were understandably terrified! But then the angel said: ‘Don’t be afraid! I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!’ (Luke 2:10-11, New Living Translation)”

Imagine… what if the angel had shown up and said, “A baby’s been born.” How do you think the shepherds would have reacted? They would still be frightened by the appearance of the angel, but would the announcement have carried the same weight? Would they have left the sheep alone in the field in order to stumble their way through the darkness to the town of Bethlehem? Would they have bothered to search for the baby to see Him for themselves? Probably not. They may have found the announcement interesting, but it would not have changed their lives.

But it was not just a baby who had been born. It was THE SAVIOR who had been born. He was born to be the Savior of all people—including those shepherds. So they left their sheep and went to find this Savior. And ever since, Christians have celebrated Christmas not just as the birth of a baby but as the birth of THE SAVIOR.

Laughter is always a great medicine, so if you are sick, you need to drive over to your nearest movie theater this summer and check out “Grown Ups!” In comparison to other Adam Sandler movies, this does not rank as his most comical. The laughs don’t quite measure up to Waterboy, Happy Gilmore, or Billy Madison, but nonetheless, you will have your share of laughs and will not be disappointed with this Dennis Dugan production if all you are looking for is some simple chuckles. I will admit that some of the funniest moments were revealed during the previews, but no worries, there is still more leftover!

With a cast that consists of Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider, and David Spade, it’s nearly impossible to not have a couple chuckles during this movie! Oh, and in addition to the chuckles, the fellahs will appreciate the “eye candy” in this movie, as the stunningly beautiful Salma Hayek poses as Sandler’s wife . . . and Schneider’s character has two barely-18 year old daughters that will even make a priest do a double-take!

This movie was not all perfect, though. Some of the comedy was a bit forced, such as Chris Rock’s mother-in-law, who appears to have a habit of breaking wind. Hey, I love farting and fart jokes as much as the next guy, but if you’re going to use it, be original with it. Another example of forced comedy in this movie is during the scenes when Rob Schneider makes out and “tongues” his wife, who is old enough to be his grandmother. Seriously, how many more times are movies and TV shows going to try to get cheap laughs by having strange and/or unattractive couples slipping each other the tongue. I’ve seen it a million times! It was funny only the first 50 times!

Sandler, who portrays a successful business man with a pretty wife and three children, does a very admirable job in this movie. Even though I have enjoyed Sandler’s past movies, I would always get annoyed by the countless moments where he would go into that Sandlerish “baby-talk” mode. It always took away from his characters and I never found it necessary. Well, luckily, none of that baby-talk is utilized by Adam in “Grown Ups.” Other than his baby-talk moments, I also feared that typical moment in the movie where Sandler would suddenly try to make things a little more serious and send a message with some soggy drama. Unfortunately, it did happen at the end (during a basketball game), but the moment was very subtle and quick, and did not cause those “easy-criers” to pick up any tissues.

It was a great cast, but I was a bit disappointed with Chris Rock’s character. I realize he is not the lead character in this movie, but he still seemed really weak. Even when he did get his time in the limelight in this movie, it seemed like everything he said was written for him by somebody else . . . yes, I realize that is the whole concept of a “script,” but come on, it’s Chris Rock! I expect some witty ad-libbing with this guy! It seemed as though he wasn’t even trying! True, his character was a lame and feeble “housewife” who was at the mercy of his cranky wife, so he had to be a LITTLE soft, but, come on, it’s still Chris Rock!!

The only other thing that I really found disturbing about the movie was seeing David’s Spade’s naked rear. As a straight male, I hate seeing a naked rear on any male, but for some reason, seeing David Spade’s cheeks is a little more disturbing than most. I will give him props, though . . . he does a stellar job acting as a 40-something drunken pervert! (you’d almost think he was like that in real life!)

As far as “comedic value” goes, I’d give this movie a 7.5 out of 10. There is a just a tad bit too much of the aforementioned “forced comedy” to give this movie an 8.0 or higher. Overall, though, this is still a very entertaining movie that can be enjoyed and appreciated by all ages.
